If you could use some help getting your passion project up off the ground, we’ve got just the thing. 

Thanks to our friends over at CIBC, we’ve just launched our Remarkable Students competition which will award remarkable student entrepreneurs, makers and innovators with an ultimate professional growth prize package! 

Not only could you receive up to $10,000 to invest in your project, but you could also receive exclusive expert advice from some diverse Canadian industry leaders. That means, you could gain skills and funding to explore areas of your project that you may have never considered before. 

What types of projects are eligible? 

The passion projects we are interested in supporting will generally involve an idea, initiative, or business proposal that provides a solution to a problem. This could be a service, app, product, or something else! 

How do I get started?

Start by submitting your project through RemarkableStudents.com. After you receive 15 unique votes, your project will be accessible to the public. 

Each month, we will select a Project of the Month. These projects will be recognized with $5,000 in funding, plus these winners will proceed to the final judging phase of the competition: Remarkable Students of the Year.

What will the judging panel look like? 

The judging panel consists of multidisciplinary industry leaders from across Canada, including an expert judge from CIBC. The panel will assess the talent, effort, creativity, strategy, and impact that went into the project you submit. 

What are the key dates and timelines? 

Submission deadline: 

There will be four Projects of the Month selected, from March through June. In order to be considered for Project of the Month, your project must be submitted and have received 15 unique votes by 11:59:59PM ET on the last day of each month. See Competition rules for more details.
