Don’t Freak Out! wants you to suck less at money, so they’re holding a workshop on July 27.
A few months ago, members of the SLN team went to St. Catharines, Ontario and watched a few hundred students pile into a theatre at Brock University to learn about managing their money and becoming financially literate.
There were a few interesting key speakers, but what caught our attention was that the whole thing was being organized by two current students; Adam Vassallo of Queen’s University and Vincent Atallah of the University of Ottawa.
We sat down with them to talk about their financial literacy summits, what sets them apart, and exactly why they’re doing it.
That was good enough for us. Helping students is what we’re about here at SLN, and if these guys were into helping students better manage their money, their student loans and improve their post-secondary experience overall, then we wanted in.
